Partnerships |

AHEAD has worked, from its inception in 2004, from a vantage point where partnerships are seen as critical and determinant of its programmatic success.
Through reinforcing its professional relationships with foundations, governments (particularly at the local level), nongovernmental organizations, community based organizations, universities and consulting networks, the resulting impact of AHEAD's work has been magnified many times over.
AHEAD enters into partnerships for funding purposes, as part of endeavors in information sharing and brainstorming, as part of resource-sharing, policy analysis, conducting regional research, participating on scholarship selection panels, and enhanced training opportunities.
The following institutions are examples of partnerships to date:
- International Fellowship Fund
- The Ford Foundation
- ELMA Philanthropies
- The Higher Education Partnership of Foundations for Africa (Rockefeller, Carnegie, MacArthur, Hewlett Packard, and Mellon Foundation)
