AHEAD will soon launch two programs that target the specific concerns of East African youth.
These programs will serve to bolster self-esteem, to underscore confidence, and to enhance creative skills relative to issues such as health, education, civic responsibility and other areas integral to major life choices.
These activities will counterbalance an 'exam-driven' culture and will challenge young people through mentoring, grassroots research and literacy promotion. AHEAD will also spearhead the community-centered advocacy needed to transform and revitalize outdated educational systems. |
